The Area

This area has abundant pristine fresh water springs for fishing, swimming, skiing, canoeing, cave diving and relaxing. See a video about the Suwannee River from National Geographic's video file. Above all, the area is still quite with no big subdivisions or apartment complexes. The towns are small and quaint with mom and pop restaurants and other shopping. Cave Diving

The map below shows where many of the state parks and freshwater springs are located. The springs are the green dots and they follow the Suwannee River. If you like to swim, scuba or snorkle in fresh clear water, you'll have lots of places to explore. The lot for sale or swap is between Lafayette Blue Springs and Peacock Springs.

Boating

The Suwannee River Wilderness Trail makes multi day paddling easy with 5 raised, screened sleeping platforms, hot showers and restrooms. These platforms follow the river.

Hiking

The Florida Trail is found directly in the area with over 40 miles of groomed hiking trails. Check out the Florida Trail web site to see the trails locations.
